Challange
Our Stake Presidency has challanged us to be better as families and individuals in having family prayer, and family scripture study. These tools are so important for our families to be successful. Having Alex here has been a blessing for us to practice being better at having family prayer, Family Home Evening. He has been able to teach Emery and I better how to be as humble as a child when approaching our Heavenly Father. The missionaries came for dinner the other night, and it was so nice to have them in our home. Alex was excited to be able to spend time with them, and he has offically decited that he is Mission bound (in nine years!) for Hawaii. We all told him 'NO SWIMMING' and he was just fine with that. We have our little man for just over a week longer, and are feeling sad that he is going home, but know that he has missed his mom, and she has missed him. He told me (Jen) the other day that "in a perfect world, you and dad would just live next door to my mom, and I could come and hang out every day"... That statement gave me hope that we have been promised that perfect world, as we endure to the end here in such an imperfect world! We love our Alex!
