Rescuing Hug...
Last night at enrichment we had a fantastic speaker who used the story of the rescuing hug as part of her lesson. The rescuing Hug is a story about two twin sisters who were born premature at birth. The older sister (3 ounces heavier) did fine, but the younger sister was not gaining weight, and they thought they would loose her. One of the nurses thought to put the older sister in the same incubator as the younger, and when they did they were amazed to see this older sister wrap her arm around the younger. Both babies miraculously recovered, and this is where the 'rescuing hug' stems from. She used this as an example of the 'rescuing hugs' we give and receive while we are sisters in the Relief Society. What a great blessing it is to be part of an organization where Rescuing Hugs are practiced often.
Consider yourself given a rescue hug, and spread the love.

Was the speaker Sister Anderson? She taught a lesson with that story at Girls' Camp one year, and I have never forgotten it.
