Watch your Back, I mean Bags!

What a crazy story I have for all of you!
Best thing is (or worse) that it's true.
I heard it first hand...
A friend of mine told me that his mother was at the Disney Store in the mall, shopping with her grandkids. She had her purse in the stroller, went up to pay and her wallet was gone. The wallet was not out of her sight, except for one time when a woman came up to her and asked her a question. The woman behind the counter asked her what the wallet looked like. She proceeded to tell her, and the cashier pulled the wallet out from behind the counter. A child had stolen it, and when confronted, took the $400.00 in cash, dropped the wallet, and ran. The woman at the Disney store informed my friends mother that there are quite a few mothers (mostly Hispanic) that are taking their children to the mall to 'train' them. The mother will distract the adult, and the child will pick pocket-purse the wallet, and or cash. If they don't see any money, they will grab items out of shopping bags. That way, you get out to the car and put your bags in the car never realizing that anything has been taken. These kids are doing the dirty work for the parents, and getting away with it! Be careful as you shop this holiday season, that you are sure to watch your wallet and purse, and even more careful to watch the people around you.
